I think it is good that we study it in Middle School because it will prepare us fir High School. And also it will help us later in the future if we choose a job that requires or has to do with civics and the government. By the way blogging is a great idea Mr. Veliz!

I think it is important to study Civics in Middle School so that we learn the importance of our government and being a citizen of the United States at an earlier age.

I think that it is very important that we study civics in middle school. Civics is a way to let people know about the government, history, and modern day events. Civics is a part of everyones everyday life and we should know more about it. I think that to be an active citizen we should know about how and why we are one.

I think it is a good idea that we have Civis in Middle school because it shows that you care enough about about your country that you want to learn about it and its origin. To have that kind of exposure in middle school says that we are great! And it is important to know about Civics because you could use it for your work or your travles to teach others the importance about having a great place to live or stay and you could say later on I was the one told them that, you could be responsible for creating a great soicety for some one else to live in. And that is why i think learning civics in Middle school is a great idea.

We study civics because it will teach us how our government, economic system and political system are supposed to operate.

I agree that it is important to learn civics in middle school because you need to be prepared for the future. Certain jobs will require you to know some things that we are going to learn later in our class. Therefore learning civics can give you an advantage over other people.

I agree with everyone that Civics is a good subject to teach in middle schools, because every student needs to learn about their country and their history and their rights! I also think that it's good to study Civics, because its good to know about your government when you get older and when you start voting and taking an active part in the community.

I feel bad being so late since everyone else already said something great so heres what I have to say: It is very, very, very important for people our age to learn about civics , government, its history and what happens in our world today. I believe its important to learn this at our age because right now we are old enough to understand but young enough to make our own views on knowledge we aren't hearing from some far left guy on tv. We also can't live in world clueless to what happens outside of ourselves. This is some of the many reason its important to learn civics.

i agree with Emma Alford that we should learn civics at an early age and we will understand more what is happening today the world and why.

everyone has good comments, that's awesome. i agree with kylie and anna, learning civics at our age will stick onto our brains and help us out later on in life. we need to learn about this government, and the sooner we learn, the earlier we get to make observations and comments about the political decisions occuring around us.

I think that it is helpful for us to have civics now so we can further understand the government of america and all the other countries out there that use similar tactics. Simply put, i think that it will help us in problems that involve the world and the governments in it.

We should study civics in middle school to prepare for highschool and the reasons we study everything else, it's useful information!!!! Also so we can prepare for jobs, and so we can learn whats going on around us instead of sitting and watching tv or something all day.

i also agree with everyone!

I believe that we should study civics because we need to know what people (politics)are talking about on the news and just people in our every day life. Also so we know about our countries past.

I too agree

I think middle school is a great time to start learning civics! Think about what would happen without it! Nobody would be aware of the importants events and debates going around the world that could actually change our lives. We even get a look about how our governments run and even some American History. With civics, we can learn about citizenship. Americans take for granted their rights and freedom. Why not learn more about it so we can make the right desicions in life?

I also love what Sydney said about, "making observations and comments about the political decisions occuring around us". I totally agree!

I think that we should learn civics so we can know more about this subject.

I agree with Logan I like his point. I also agree with Sydney. I think that the information "will stick onto our brains" if we learn it at a younger age.
